Organizations looking to offer fun, wholesome activities for kids have a new option this summer.  K4J announces the “Always Catholic “ Vacation Bible School (VBS) Surfin’ with the Holy Spirit is now available for purchase.

Kids will spend a week learning how to team up with the Holy Spirit to foster a personal, permanent relationship.  Campers will engage in fun activities including songs, games, lessons and crafts, all designed around a beach theme.  Surfin’ Guidebooks make planning easy.

Surfin’ with the Holy Spirit aims to teach and reinforce Catholic values in a recreational way. K4J kids will recognize the K4J Sacrament Characters and gifts of the Holy Spirit incorporated in activities and materials presented throughout the week. 

Each day of the week will focus on a different missionary saint and his/her story of Holy Daring.  On the last day, K4J kids will hold their own special “Birthday on the Beach” party to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, the Birthday of the Church. The celebration will begin with Mass.  Then children will perform in a wrap-up show and enjoy a fun-filled beach party.

All participants will experience real life mission work today when they bring a small baby gift for the local life center and help Sisters of Life (www.sistersoflife.org) share Jesus’ love through the “Celebrate Life!” Mission.  At the end of the week, all participants will receive an age-appropriate K4J Mission Pack to reinforce the virtue of HOLY DARING and encourage them to continue to practice it each day at home through a personal “Daring Duo Mission.”
